OPEN Workshop (ASU Polytechnic Campus)

  • * Full-time college student is defined as taking at least 15 credit hours per semester
  • This workshop is open to both Members and Non-Members. Individuals with paid registration are welcome to bring an Administrator as a guest.
  • The individual may be a school or district administrator or an individual that oversees Health and Physical Education program.

This workshop will focus on utilizing OPEN’s FREE standards-based curriculum resource that gives physical educations teachers teaching resources such as academic language, depth of knowledge questioning, universal design adaptations, teaching strategies based on Marzano academic rigor research, and teacher self-reflection guides based on the Danielson Framework for Teaching.  Be ready to participate in this K-12 activity-based session! OPEN modules focus on creative ways to engage students and teach lessons that ensure academic rigor. Every module is aligned to SHAPE America National Standards and Learning Outcomes. Participants will leave with complete access to all content and an understanding of how to fully integrate them effectively into their classrooms.
